The first of two weekends of play for the 9th annual Coast Spring Classic is now in the books. The tournament features 420 teams spread across nine different states and is played at five venues across the Grand Strand. The economic impact for this year’s event is a staggering 4.5 million dollars for our community. ” Hosting this event has become a year round process and it requires total cooperation from the Cities of North Myrtle Beach, Myrtle Beach as well as Horry County. Our staff and volunteers do a wonderful job in making this event successful each year” said Coast Director Heyward Gulledge.
Four Coast FA teams received awards over the weekend. The Coast 00 Girls and Coast 04 Boys Red won their respective divisions and the Coast 04g Red and Coast 03 Red finished as finalists.
The second weekend of the event features the U8 through U12 age divisions and will be played at North Myrtle Beach Sports Park and Market Commons on April 29th & 30th.
