Coast FA was formed in 2006 and is proud to offer two distinctly different soccer programs to our community. By doing so, we feel that we have a program to fit every child’s needs. See the chart below for a description of both options.

Option 1 – Coast FA Select Pathway – This option usually attracts the more serious, more committed players in a gender and age specific format. We historically have around 500 players and some out of town travel is required starting at age nine. It has seven steps that start at age 3 and take you all the way through 18 years of age. By choosing this option your child can be with a licensed professional coach from day one of their soccer journey at Coast. We begin with our first step at age three called Kinder Kickit where your player will be in a FUN based introduction to the game of soccer. The curriculum includes activities introducing basic skills to develop self - confidence and coordination. After going through the five additional steps outlined in the chart below along the journey your player will end his club and high school soccer careers in our step seven. We have helped many of our players acquire collegiate roster spots and even a few that have gone on to play professionally.

Option 2 – Coast FA McDonald’s Recreation League – This option attracts primarily players looking for an introduction to soccer but also some committed players that do not want to travel out of town. We historically have between 1500 – 1900 players participate in our rec league that make up over one hundred coed based teams. Dedicated volunteer coaches are the backbone of our rec league and some have extensive soccer backgrounds. We use certified referees for our matches to set the bar high and provide the players a great experience. We have training facilities at Socastee, Carolina Forest and Pawleys Island but all matches are played at Socastee Park or Stables Park. .
