The Myrtle Beach Mutiny defeated FC Wichita 3-1 Saturday evening July 18th on the heals of Jon Ander Ibarrondo’s hat trick. The game started off fast and furious with FC Wichita on the attack immediately until a beautiful through ball by Brett Luccia found Myrtle Beach forward Jon Ander Ibarrondo at the eleven minute mark who took one touch and then placed the ball calmly in the lower right corner of the net. Wichita tied the contest nine minutes later when Mohamed Hamed broke d own the left touchline and placed a perfect cross to Abel Sebile who hammered it home. The second half started with continued pressing action which showcased some of the best passing, teamwork and hustle by both squads. Myrtle Beach hit the crossbar twice and FC Wichita equally peppered the Myrtle Beach goal only to be stopped by Myrtle Beach keeper Kenny Perkinson time and time again. In the 57th minute, Aksul Juul found Jon Ander Ibarrondo again with yet another perfect pass thus completing a hat trick night with a perfect strike. Juul said “We just come out and try to have fun on the pitch.” Myrtle Beach midfielder Ross Henderson was unfortunately issued his second yellow card for a slide tackle and ejected with ten minutes to play after covering from box to box all evening.
