Six Coast Teams Qualify for State Cup

State Championships and promotion to the coveted Piedmont National League will be up for grabs over the next three weekends in South Carolina youth soccer. The levels of SCYSA are designed to pit similar ability level teams against one another while advancing through a series of promotions and relegations to earn their position each year. The top eight SCSCL Challenge teams qualify for State Cup while the top six PMSL teams qualify in each age group. The levels of youth soccer in South Carolina start with #1 Recreational, #2 Open, #3 PMSL Classic #4. SCSCL Challenge and end at #5 Piedmont National League. Six Coast FA teams are in contention to claim the USYS top honors after superb results in their fall regular seasons.

Coast 04g Black coached by Rob Bramble won the U19 Open League with a perfect 9-0-0 record in league play. The girls will enter as the #1 overall seed in the Open State Cup to be held in Lexington, South Carolina on Dec 3 & 4, 2022

Coast 08g Red coached by Mario Benjamin posted a 6-1-0 record in their PMSL regular season to finish as a #3 seed in the PMSL State Cup. The girls will host CESA Select from Greenville, South Carolina in the quarterfinals at Socastee Park on Sunday December 11th at 12:00 noon. If we win the girls will advance to the PMSL Final Four Weekend in Florence, South Carolina on Saturday December 17 & 18 , 2022.

Coast 04g Red coached by Mark Sanchez finished the U19 SCSCL Challenge Division regular season with a posting a 3-1-3 record . The girls will qualify for State Cup as a #5 seed and must travel to face #4 seed SCUFC from Columbia on Sunday December 11th at 1pm. The higher seed earns the right to host the quarterfinal match. If victorious, the girls will advance to the SCSCL Final Four in Florence, South Carolina on December 17 & 18, 2022

Coast 06g Red coached by RJ Bass competed in the U17 Piedmont National League against the top teams from SC, NC and Ga where they posted a 5-3-2 fall season record. The girls qualify as a #2 seed and earned the right to host #7 seed Surf 06 from Charleston on Sunday December 11th at Socastee Park with a 10am start time. A win would advance the team to Florence, South Carolina for the SCSCL Final Four on December 17 & 18.

Coast 07 Red coached by Joel Banta also played in the U16 Piedmont National League posting a 2-7-1 fall campaign against the top teams from SC, NC and GA. They enter as a #2 seed and also earned the right to host #7 seed Beach United from Myrtle Beach at Socastee Park on Wednesday December 14th. The kickoff time for this match will be at 6pm. A win would advance the team to Florence, South Carolina for the SCSCL Final Four on December 17 & 18.

Coast 06 Red coached by Brian Smith posted a strong 9-1-0 record in the SCSCL Challenge League regular season. They will qualify for the SCSCL State Cup as a #5 seed and make the long journey to downtown Myrtle Beach to face Kick Off Academy on Saturday December 3rd at Ashley Booth Field at 3pm.
