Two current Coast FA players signed their National Letter of Intent at their respective high schools today in front of their family, coaches and friends to play collegiate soccer at Francis Marion University. We expect several more commitments from our 1998 players in the next few weeks as well.
Hunter Hardin held his ceremony at Myrtle Beach High School and was escorted by his parents Matt and Nicole as well as his younger brother Sullivan. Hunter has been a four year varsity player for Myrtle Beach and an anchor on the Region III Premier Coast 99 Red team coached by Joel Banta. Hunter served as a central defender for many years on the 99 Red and won a state championship in 2014. ” Hunter is a kid that will put his head down and simply go to work no matter what I ask of him during a match. He is a hard nosed tough player who takes on a lot of responsibility for me as a defender. I am certain he will achieve much success on and off of the field at Francis Marion” said Coach Banta.
Brook Kennedy signed her Letter of Intent today with her parents Kevin and Terri plus older brother Bryce by her side at North Myrtle Beach High School. Brooke has been a four year leader for the North Myrtle Beach team and an impact player on the Coast 98g Flames Challenge League team under coaches Mark Sanchez and Jennifer Sellers. ” Brooke is one of the most coachable players that I have ever had play for me. She is a hard working dedicated young lady who really came into her own this past season as my sweeper. Brooke performed well at a recent ID camp at Francis Marion to help secure her offer ” said Coach Sanchez.
